DBRI [H.A. Technical Solutions, Inc.]

This is a software product for use with Sybase Open Server 10 Technologyand Rose Technical Solutions HA (High Availability Software) to provideautomatic reconnection of the client machines to the server so that thethere is no loss of transaction when an application is switched to theback-up server. DBRI is totally compatible with the over 600applications that have been developed for Sybase Open Server 10technology. DBRI performs the following functions:1. Monitors the connection status between SYBASE SQL Server and theClient program.2. Provides transaction (SQL statement) logging function in order to beready to replay uncompleted transactions that may have occured when afail over has taken place.3. DBRI will reconnect every client program to the alternate SQL serverafter the Sybase has been restored on the alternate Server.4. DBRI will replay all uncompleted transactions so that the user willcontinue from the point he was at without losing a transaction andwithout having to re-log in to the server.
